I am sorry that I made a mistake and duplicated the letter from Bob Holmes.What I wanted was to ask him for any information about a small river bridge outside Villach on the way to Italy. I saw it had a memorial stone dedicated to 8 Royal Engineers who died in constructing it. The location was wide open and must have been a very hazardous operation. Does anyone have any deails of this action and the men taking part. I never got the chance to pass that way again but its always been in my mind to visit the site and get details.
